Evergreen Funeral Home & Cemetery
The century-old grounds of Evergreen Cemetery have served families from Lynnwood to Granite Falls since 1898. Mature trees present their seasonal foliage across the 100-acre cemetery, with well-landscaped gardens that host both in-ground and above-ground burials. Family estates provide a unique place for future generations to gather in remembrance. Cremation options include a scattering garden as well as inurnment in the community mausoleum.
Rucker Mausoleum—a 30-foot Washington granite pyramid resting on a stone-encased earthen plinth—welcomes celebrants with a door of Red Beach granite from Maine. The chapel inside holds a large dome with 4 art-glass windows. The mausoleum holds 22 crypts, with fitted closures made of polished Barre granite from Vermont.
According to a local historian, Evergreen Cemetery has been referred to as the "biographical encyclopedia" of Everett, Washington. Through the years, it has become the final resting place for many prominent citizens, including 2 U.S. senators and 4 governors, and more than 150 Civil War veterans.
